Charlotte is an emerging social scientist. She has a diverse study background having completed her Bachelor of Social Science at the University of Tasmania, with majors in sociology and geography, and minors in international relations and psychology. Charlotte’s qualitative honours research investigated the lived significance of emotion in educational experiences of climate change. This research contributed to understandings of the affective experience of climate change. Excellence in her studies was recognized by being awarded the University Medal in 2019. She is continuing her research by pursuing interdisciplinary doctoral studies in emotion, climate change and the future, to help shape public conversations on the future of our world. Charlotte also has recently spent time in Kiribati with the Kiribati Climate Action Network (KiriCAN) gaining significant international insight. She also has experience working in leading NGO’s in Tasmania in tackling social inequality.
