Reverend Dr Elenie Poulos

Rev. Dr Elenie Poulos is an Honorary Postdoctoral Associate at Macquarie University where she was recently awarded a PhD (Politics). Her PhD thesis examined the public discourses and politics of religious freedom in Australia. Elenie is an ordained Minister of the Uniting Church in Australia and was, for 15 years, the director of the Church’s national justice policy and advocacy unit. She is a director on the Board of Uniting NSW.ACT, a major provider of community and aged care services. She has also served on the Board of the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) and was, for 11 years, a Commissioner of the World Council of Churches advisory body on international affairs.
